Living in Portland, where the Willamette River splits the city in half, we always see rowing teams on the water. Michael has always wanted to try it, so for the month of June, he took a class through Lake Oswego's learn to row group. They met twice a week and Oaklyn and I were lucky enough to get to join the coach on her power boat and get front row seats of all the action! Oaklyn loved being on the boat and was a trooper when our boat battery died in the middle of the river and we had one oar to paddle us back to the boat house : )
Oaklyn giving Michael a "thumbs-up-you-are-number-one" pep talk
Go Daddy, go!
Looks tippier than a kayak! Next try sailing or dragon boating... all good fun on the Willamette (if you can avoid the jet skis....)
