Our PNW Victory Tour! Spokane WA to Rexburg ID to Roseburg OR to Seattle WA then back to Spokane. It started out as a little weekend trip to go down to Roseburg for baby Cole's blessing. And then we decided to go to Rexburg "on the way" and Seattle "on the way home". It made perfect sense. It was perfect timing too, because Michael had already completed his MBA program but hadn't started working yet. So, we had the time for a big 'ole road trip. There are VERY few people I would visit in Rexburg in the middle of winter, but the Roelofs easily made the cut. It was so much fun to spend time with Elle and Justin and let the girls play with Jaeda and Brooks. Elle and I even got to escape on a few runs together. It doesn't get better than that. I didn't even care that it was snowy, icy, freezing Rexburg, in fact I didn't even notice and we could have kept going for hours and hours. Roseburg with the Martins was a blast as always. Think bikes, rain, Violet's homemade bread, repeat. Our purpose in detouring through Seattle was because Michael had recently accepted a marketing position with Paccar, in Renton WA and we wanted to check out some housing opportunities in the area. (Which we did find and place a reservation deposit on one place near Dash Point, but as it unfolds, Heavenly Father had other plans for us and through a series of miracles we ended up finding a perfect little spot in Maple Valley WA, where we live now)
