Better late than never...We went down to the Bay Area over Memorial Day weekend for our friends, Ashley and Rob's wedding in the Oakland Temple. Oaklyn loved playing with her cuz, Piper, and it was great to spend time with the fam.

2nd Annual Brown Family and Friends Triathlon

 Today we held our 2nd Annual Brown Family and Friends Triathlon! It was so much fun! We did it at the same place as last year, so all the planning/logistics/thinking was already done, we basically just had to show up and do it! We invited a bunch of friends and each family did the race together, at their own pace and had a great time! There were bikes, scooters, roller blades, roller skates, tricycles, and balance bikes. We were expecting pretty cold water since Portland doesn't really warm up until about the 4th of July, but we've had some hot days lately, so the water was quite pleasantly warm : ) Of course, we all got body marked so we would feel legit! And, we had a pre-race meeting to go over the course details. We tried to simulate a "real race" type feel while also making it very laid back and non-competitive. So, we found a happy medium somewhere in there. And, the best part, was that all the kids got a custom made "Brown Family and Friends" medal!
