Multnomah Falls and Eagle Creek

After running the Half Marathon on Saturday, we went to Multnomah Falls and hiking at Eagle Creek. We didn't get to hike up to the top of Multnomah Falls since part of the bridge was broken. That was a tender mercy for my legs! But at least we got a picture, because that's all that really matters, right? At Eagle Creek, we went on 4 mile hike to Punchbowl Falls, but in my mind, I'm telling myself it was more like 5 miles, since we parked so far away from the trail head! At least that's what my tired legs were telling me :) It was beautiful and totally worth it!

I love Oaklyn's face in this one

Punchbowl Falls. Trust me, that little tiny waterfall in the bottom middle of this picture was WAY cooler than it looks in this pic. If you don't believe me, we will take you hiking there sometime!

This picture makes us look really hardcore.

This one was at Multnomah Falls. We couldn't get Oaklyn to look away from the falls. Good thing the back of her head is cute, too!

Hop Hop Half Marathon

I ran the Hop Hop Half Marathon on Saturday, with a huge shout out to my personal cheerleading crew, Matt, Dean, Debbie, Michael, and of course, 'lil Oakie.

It was a good run with a beautiful course along the Columbia River. I wasn't sure what to expect during the race since a couple weeks before I hurt my hamstring and couldn't even run without it hurting. Fortunately, I was blessed with a cold the week of the race, which forced me to not run, which helped my leg heal. Funny how that works. All in all, I felt great on race day and was able to finish in 1:46:33.

My cheerleading crew was also my personal paparazzi and here is proof.

Oakyn was biting the medal to make sure it was real gold. It was.

Finish!

I couldn't help but smile every time I saw my sweet little Oakie.

Don't mess with this girl.

Oaklyn was totally obsessed with the Easter Bunny.

Oaklyn Cuteness

We love this girl!

Oaklyn loves to climb on EVERYTHING! This is her guilty face.

This bow is in honor of
Oaklyn's cousin, Piper.

We couldn't pass up this photo shoot when the grass was just about as tall as she was.

Sunday Best.

Here is another classic guilty face. She was playing with the hot pads and towels in the bottom drawer while I was doing the dishes. One minute she was having fun just tossing them out on the floor one by one, and the next minute, she was standing inside the drawer trying to climb higher to the top ones.

Oaklyn doesn't have to miss a thing with cousins like Henry and Reid around. They love to "give her a lift".

Oregon Coast

We had a great time with our cousins and my Mom in town for Spring Break! Of course, we did all the fun "Portland-y" things like Voodoo Doughnuts, Powell's Books, the Zoo, Salt & Straw, etc, but a trip to Portland isn't complete without a day at the beach!

This one is in front of Haystack Rock at cannon Beach.

It was pretty windy, so this is our make-shift tent : )

Michael grew up skimboarding along the Northern California Coast, so he was excited to put his skills to work.

Awww.
